NOMINATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED FOR THE MUSIC CENTER BRAVO AWARDS!
Nominations for the Music Center’s BRAVO Awards are no longer being accepted. The deadline for nominations was October 15, 2011. If you were nominated, please complete your application by October 21, 2011.
Open to all Los Angeles County Schools and Teachers. Only one nomination from an individual school is allowed, regardless of category. The nomination may be from any ONE of the four categories. BRAVO Award nominees or finalists considered in previous years are eligible to reapply, but must resubmit a complete application. Past winners are not eligible. Please note: This program is not open to teaching artists.
Category #1 General Education Teacher BRAVO Award |

Eligible nominees are classroom teachers whose primary responsibility is not the arts, but who consistently utilize the arts within the core curriculum in an exemplary way during the regular instructional school day. Nominees must hold a four year degree and teach regular, continuation or special education in grades K-12 at least five hours per day and five days per week.
Category #2 Arts Specialists Teacher BRAVO Award |

Eligible nominees are classroom teachers who are employed by a school, whose primary responsibility is teaching an arts discipline during the regular instructional school day. Nominees must hold a four year degree and teach regular, continuation or special education in grades K-12 at least 10 hours/week; does not include teaching artists, visiting art professionals and/or parent volunteers.

Eligible schools must be regular, continuation or special education in grades K-12. A school within a school (e.g. arts academy) will be considered only as part of the entire school. The entire school will be evaluated.
Category #4 School Program BRAVO Award |

If ongoing instruction is not provided in all arts disciplines, an eligible school can apply for recognition of an outstanding program in one arts discipline. All students must be able to participate, instruction must be sequential, and more than one teacher must provide the arts instruction.
